Vibrations and Sounds – Their Effects on the Body.

January 17th, 2010 admin No comments

Note from the publisher: One way to assist your ability to have out of body experience or astral project is to use Binaural Beats or specific recorded sounds/vibrations that enhance our brain’s ability to allow our energy body to visit the astral worlds. Beyond personal experiences of myself and others, many may wonder how real is the possibility that vibrations and sounds can have such an effect? With that in mind, I am posting the following information that looks at how another way to use vibrations, called vibration training can help our bodies…

Vibrations and stress

Many studies in recent years have suggested that vibrations imposed on the human body through an external device, say a car engine, for example, causes a harmful mechanical stress on the body, and therefore can have a significant negative impact. Some people think of the word “stress” as defined by Merriam-Webster, "a physical, chemical, or emotional factor that causes bodily or mental tension and may be a factor in disease causation."

However, this word has many definitions and for the devotees of vibration therapy, out there, who have experienced the euphoria of 2400 involuntary muscle contractions in 60 seconds, stress is defined better as "a force exerted when an organ or body part presses, pulls, pushes, or tends to compress or twist another body or body part."In fact, when used therapeutically, vibrations can have positive effects on the central nervous system and physical body. Thus, vibrational therapy causes a type of mechanical stress that is healing or strengthening for patients in physical therapy programs.

The effects of vibrations on the Central Nervous System

So, how is this form of stress responsible for the happiness felt by some people who laugh their way out the door of a WBV or whole-body vibration session (vibration training). The same patients tell of a "freedom of movement", and a sudden burst of energy that often help even rigid, arthritic patients.

The answer maybe explained with three words: neurogenesis, serotonin, and Endorphins. These three things, again and again, have been positively associated with exercise and linked by scientific research.

Neurogenesis refers to the creation of new brain cells (glial cells or neurons) occuring in a brain area called the hippocampus, the same region where learning and memory occur. The process of neurogenesis, researchers say, has to do with exercise stress-induced formation of a protein in the brain (known as BDNF), whose job is to not only create new neurons, but to protect existing neurons and improve communication between them (otherwise known as synaptic plasticity).

It is through synaptic plasticity that learning and memory take place in the brain. This includes muscle memory and motor learning, as well as memorizing line’s for the high school play… Now, as levels of BDNF increase in the brain, so do the levels of another brain protein called SERT. And, in turn, this protein is responsible for higher levels of serotonin in the brain.

For those unfamiliar with serotonin, it is a type of chemical called a neurotransmitter, which is responsible for the elevation of mood such as feelings of ecstasy, increased sexual desire and function, and improved sleep.

There is one other relevant body chemical that help make us happy. How about what occurs with "runner's high" – runners often report a moment when jogging when they experience a rush of endorphins.

Endorphins are chemicals released by the pituitary gland in response to stress or pain. In general, it takes 30 minutes to release endorphins through traditional exercise. But with the more intense "hyper" stimulation of the central nervous system produced during vibration training, this release occurs much faster. Once released, endorphins do everything from block pain to create a feeling of elation or joy. They produce a “good feeling.”

Although more research is still needed, there is a clear connection between the potential of an all body vibration, increasing the tension on the central nervous system, which, in turn, provides pain relief, elevated mood and joy, and, even, neurological brightness.

These are just a few more bullets in the growing list of benefits that have come from the study of vibrations and vibration therapy.

What is Mastering Astral Projection?

October 24th, 2009 admin No comments

I am not sure exactly how old I was when I realized that my dreams were more real than most people have. They were lucid dreams – sometimes so real that even now some of them seem a part of my real life experience and memories.

With that kind of inner life, I soon discovered that there was an event called astral travel. And that sometimes I would have waking dreams where I left my body and explored other worlds and events. But I didn’t know why I had these out of the body experiences nor how to make them happen on a regular basis. That is why I sought a way of mastering astral projection.

I decided I would put up this website because I did find a way of mastering astral projection, an astral projection guide that I wanted you to know about as well.

But perhaps I should first give a definition of what astral travel or out of body travel actually is. It is to take an astral voyage – to have your awareness leave your body and go anywhere you want it to. In the case of astral projection, one is totally aware and can fully control what one does. You will have experiences that are similar to what happens in dreams – but you are fully awake.

It may seem like a miracle to unleash such hidden power, but with training I believe that anyone can learn how to astral project. One trick is to maintain your awareness while allowing your physical body to fall asleep. But often it is spontaneous astral projection that one first encounters.

And these dream-like experiences have been going on for thousands of years. Tibetan Buddhists practice astral travel. And when the famous ancient Greek mathematician, Pythagoras, heard the music of the heavens, he was thought to be having an out of the body experience.

If you have had unexpected waking dreams, you have been astral traveling. And if you want more of these kind of events in your life, rest assured that you can learn the art of mastering astral projection.
